    Hi all,

    What excatly does 'Enhanced Display' do in the Screens prefs?

    I have a MacMini 1.5 with 64megs of video ram and found that turning off enhanced display on all my screens sped up not only screen switching, but stopped the occasional hiccup in AMP mp3 playing.

    Am I missing some "enhanced" features by turning it off?

    Travis

    Enhanced Display makes use of hardware 3D acceleration in graphics card to render all the system GUI elements. It enables things like transparent windows (for now only using Lucy commodity) and transparent window borders & shadows in some skins.

    If you prefer usability over eyecandy, turning enchanced display off is a good idea.

    Did you write enchanced on purpose or is it just a typo ? :)

    @pega-1

    It is a native language induced typo. In Polish "h" and "ch" are pronounced almost identically. Fixed anyway.

    I miss draggable screens... and do you? I know I'm in a minority unfortunately.
