It is I of the legendary MOS 1.4 uptime...I didn't quite make it to 26 days (25 days, 22 hours and some change....Photofolio eventually killed me when U tried a click to front on it's window...I guess either mem fragmentations (6,600+ chunks) or corrupt memlist was to blame.
However, since I rebooted I have a weird problem..AmiTCP (4.3) says it is already running when trying to start. I've been using AmiTCP for months with no problem. It is the version check for bsdsocket.library which 'passes' and therfore assumes a TCP stack is running.
I run *nothing* in my user-startup and only a couple of progs in WBStartup and I am also not aware of installing any new code in the 26 days I was up...do I have a virus/trojan? (actually I installed a program called newavail in my c: directory...)
version bsdsocket.library returns socket.library version around 1994 or somesuch (sorry...don;t have my PegaMOS here to check exactly)
The stack is definately not online and I can even start Miami and over-ride the version of bsdsocket.library by doing so.
Weird!
I am behind an IP/NAT router/firewall with only couple of ports open..so not convinced my machine has been compromised (would have to be by a knowledgeable Amiga user presumably)
Weird!
Anyone?
