I am getting some mails to my e-mail, from macmini users which got problems
with playing 720p contents on their macminis.

I have seen many at Amiga Meeting which played 720p HDTV movies. Put your
codec and information here. I hear that 720p mp4 h264 should work, but then there
    are people claiming it doesn't.

What sorts of MPlayer options do you use? I think this thread would be usefull for new
MorphOS users too which wants to use their macmini as a multimedia machine. Until
now many of LCD and Plasma tvs only supports 720p, so to use macmini as a multimedia
    machine is supperb I think.

many mini's got only 32MB of vram!

mplayer (in overlay) + ambient + some others window/screens and it's totally filled!
    And now... next project!

You were told hundred times already on IRC, but if it's written on a forum, maybe we won't have to repeat it anymore. :)

So, for h264 content, it's better to disable the loop filter, which is obviously explained in the documentation :
-lavdopts skiploopfilter=all (or -lavdopts skiploopfilter=nonref to keep it for some "strategic" frames).

Then, most 720p h264 content will play, but it still depends on bitrate, for instance. Some will play fine, some won't. For the ones that don't, just enable framedrop.

Be warned: There are DIFFERENT codecs, all labelled under "h264". The ones called "basic profile" might decode well, but the "advanced profile" is very, very hard to do, hence requirements for huge processors, even if it's called "h264" also.

Oki. For standard 720p HDDVD or bluray files then? Settings for that? And is macmini capable of playing such movies? Ripped that is...
