Well, looks like there is still something to do...
    But thumbs up for bigfoot.

Now that's a nice surprise. I own a PowerBook G4 myself. It's great to see MorphOS being ported to this cute Apple machine. Good work. :-D

So it seems to be either this or that PowerBook G4 1.67 GHz model. And obviously equipped with a Radeon 9700 :-)

    @ Frogg_80

Since your iBook also contains a radeon gfx card (probably a 9550), there is a hythetical chance that this model gets supported, too.
But remember: *No* Apple hardware support other than the Mac Mini has been officialy confirmed. Even those latest pictures of MorphOS on a Powerbook, just tell us one thing:
Some MorphOS developer (in particular bigfoot) has had some success to run (at least kind of) MorphOS on one particular Powerbook.
No word about further efforts, strategies, no promises. We are free to draw our own conclusions (and I wouldn't check ebay now for powerbooks or the likes).

    @fogg80:
    Ciao,
    Ciao

Me too. It isn't double. Those pictures differs.
Mac mini G4@1,5GHz silent upgrade + Xerox Phaser 3140 + EPSON Perfection 1240U
    Commodore C64C + 2 x 1541II + Datasette + SD-Box

I miss draggable screens... and do you? I know I'm in a minority unfortunately.

...and even if it was double, human mind learns and reconises best with repetition. Thus, if it is importat it is okay to mention it several times. Repetition and variation (here variation is that in one post the picture inks were direct and in another post indirect by linking another thread containing the picture links) is positive for learning and getting attraction as long as it is not annoying. Of course there are also other strategies for a good learning success.

Huh? It's not like my original posting vanished and thus would need repetition. It's still there for everybody to see and will be there exactly as long as the double-post will be. So if you need repetition, just read my posting as often as you wish.
Furthermore, I consider double-posting without referencing the original posting or its author, i.e. ignoring what others already posted before in the very same thread, as rude. And that consideration is surely no invention of mine. I would never intentionally double-post without reference to the original, and if I did unintentionally, I would give a short apology to the original poster. But that's just me.

    > Thus, if it is importat it is okay to mention it several times.

Why do you consider the double-posting by Xenocide to be important? It's simply an "answer" to the thread starter (see threaded view), as was mine, not an answer to someone specifically asking for MorphOS on PowerBook ignoring what was already stated in this thread before. And even if it was, a reference to the already given answer (either with repeating the links or not) would be sufficient, as I already explained.

What's annoying and what's not is subject to everyone's own consideration. I consider it annoying being ignored, as would most people do. I think it's just about politeness. You can repeat whatever things others stated before (be it directly or indirectly) you want and as often as you want, as long as you reference the thread's original contributor(s). Else you are blatantly showing your ignorance. Treat others as you would expect to be treated yourself.

That's called a reference. A concept unfortunately not everyone seems to be aware of.

Andreas, honestly, do you know the difference between a scientific journal and some internet chit-chat?

It still is. Simply use threaded view instead of flat view and ignore the sub-thread(s) you're obviously not interested in.

That's funny now, as indeed *you* were the first one becoming "scientific" when telling about learning strategies and such. I just answered your "scientific" approach accordingly.
Originally, I simply wrote "No need to double-post". There's nothing "scientific" about that, really.
