    Hello,

You can use iso instead of efika.img usb boot.

Iso can be opened from ambient. Go to Tools drawer and use iWizard directly.

Take care to save your user startup somewhere. Mine was replaced without any warning or whatever. Lost all assign and no backup ;)

    Czk.

No issues here. I downloaded the 2.1 install image onto the harddrive using my existing 2.0 installation. Then installed it right over top of 2.0

This might seem like a really stupid question, but can I just boot up my Efika with 2.0 installed on it, and then run iWizard (or whatever its called) from the iso image downloaded onto a USB stick?

Presume I don't actually need to boot up from the boot image?

Sure you can. You can install it manually by copying files too.

Just to make sure do I just need the ISO or do I need the boot image as well.

What I don't won't to do is bugger up the install. If I run the CD should that be fine to update everything, or do I actually need to boot with the install image?

You only need the iso, but I also copied the iWizard from the 2.1 img to my 2.0 partition and launched the new iWizard (don't know if there are diferences between the 2.0 and 2.1 iWizard). But I booted 2.0 from hd to actually do the 2.1 installation.
Before I launched the iWizard I renamed teh old boot.img to boot20.img.
Also I did an entire backup of my sys partiotion to be on the safe side.
This way the installation went easy and fast.

Thanks that exactly what I wanted to know. As a new convert to Morphos can I just check is the boot.img in the root of my bootable partition?

Got it installed and seems very stable. Really impressed!!

Tried installing by moving iWizard to my dh1: but wouldn't install so had to boot from USB key.

Also has fixed a problem I had where I couldn't view Jpeg images. Not that impressed by sound quality though, sounds like it needs more work.
