Got it, burn it, installed it!

Lucy needs a quick tweek to work, but other than that, seems better than ever.

It's got Trident 4.1, now to see if it sees my memory USB key/pen thingy..

Well... Nice! But... When are we goin' to read a "hardware upgrade" for MorphOS?!? I've no news about my Pegasos 2 mobo (ok, that's my problem.. right...) and there's no hope to buy a new one. So?!? A second-hand mobo?!? Ok... Where?!? Costs?? Paying another licence??? Efika?!? Naaaahh.... Sorry, but I need a powerful machine (using Blender 3d with a G4 is a little hard..). I spent a quarter of my dirty wage to buy a licence for 2.0 MOS and..... upgrade what?!? I used to work with my Peg (drawing, burning cds, downloading any kind of files, writing and so on, using Linux for what I couldn't do with MOS): didn't need any other pc's or whatelse... I have some little works to do. Buy a pc?!? Going on to hope in fairys' help?!? Sorry dudes... I don't want to compalin myself. Only explaining reality. Hope you understood.... Uhm.. gettng anger... :-(

Theres something wrong with your pegasos mainboard?

Surely if you find a way to get the hardware replaced, the MorphOS Team would more than likely work with you. I hope it's not your m/board...

I hate this sh!t keep having issues...now the install (from usb) drops the keyboard/mouse, so i cant select install

    Any work around this?Efika:

Download MorphOS-2.1-efikainstall.img and put it in the root directory of a USB mass storage device.
Insert the USB device into a USB port on the Efika.
In order to have access to a mouse and keyboard while you are installing from a USB device, we suggest you use a USB hub to connect these input devices.
    Turn on your Efika.
Press escape on the keyboard until you reach the Open Firmware prompt.
At the Open Firmware prompt, type:
    > boot scsi:0 MorphOS-2.0-efikainstall.img
MorphOS will now start booting. Please be patient. This may take a short while. Once it is done booting, click on the iWizard icon and start the download of the full MorphOS ISO..
Please note that the default ISO download directory is ram: - however the ISO will not fit there. Therefore, you must manually adjust the download path to match the partition you are installing MorphOS to.

are we to type MorphOS-2.0 or 2.1?
    I may have messed up!

if not then how does 2.1 come into play?

i'm posting this everywhere till i get some help!!
    cause now i cant boot!!

    It should be:
    > boot scsi:0 MorphOS-2.1-efikainstall.img

If you are getting really frustrated, and you have network access from another machine--pay a visit to the IRC channel. I'm sure there are plenty of folks online that can help. ;-)

I mean i knew that and started it that way, but the usb kept dropping so couldn't install, i downloaded it from sputnik then tried accessing it there, but when i got to the dl opt i didn't know what to do there so i tried to back out, and that's when all hell broke loose! now i cant boot, cant reinstall (keeps dropping usb) and installboot works but no usb. i think its reading the formatted drives and then dropping the firmware usb.

its gonna end up needing a reformat huh?

Your problem sounds outright messy at this point. I would likely do a re-format, but I would definately check with the IRC channel first. The gurus are in atm. However you get your system back up and running, I would definately put the images on HDD to be prepared in case of a USB Drop.

    @Jambalah
I can certainly understand your frustration and fear. My goodness, your post from before isn't showing good things. If you have another system around (like a pc), you could try to use the serial output from the peggy and read the info from another machine using a telnet-like application. Another thought would be to remove your drives, all of them, to see what you get on screen. A final thought to try is to remove, and reseat, the memory and any cards. If, by some chance, your firmware is corrputed, it may be a simple matter of sending it in, then it's just a bit of time lost. I wouldn't worry so much about how the MorphOS-Team is going to react until you can get some working HW. I promise, the MorphOS-Team is not as heartless as they advertise themselves :-P

    @ Targhan:
Thanks for the suggestions (that I tried almost all of that with no succes..) but my Peg is in Germany for repairs (or whatelse could it be) and I'm waiting for the response... I've never thought about MOS Team as heartless people. Sorry, I'm only a little bit nervous... Going to bed, re-format my brain-hd and tomorrow I will boot up myself again looking this thing from a different corner.. as I did until now :-)
I don't know where it could be, but there is always a solution...
