I never completely understood how the contestants are selected. Our contribution was well... not too strong

I always had the impression the whole thing is horribly rigged.

I don't know the reputation of Eurovision in other countries, but here in Spain, is seen as some kind of ridiculous and kitsch competition.

Put this, together with a sms-voted tv show to select a contestant, and one "humorist" with a ridiculous song and ridiculous looks...
