    Right away!

I know, we all goes against other sites for deleting/locking threads, until suddenly we try it ourselves and find it fun...

For a moment I thought that having more coverage of MorphOS was what mattered, unfortunatly no, what matters is talking of MorphOS in Morphzone... pitty.

I don't think Tokai means it that way!!

I feel its just silly to have such polls... why would we want to even be involved with Aworld?? Doesn't mean we dont read it... there is a reason there are seperate sites... shouldn't we as Mos Users be better off if we put our energy into Morphzone... wether its with posts, Money, software, updating news items, etc... rather then trying to convince another site to put our news on there front page?? Its always best to put the energy/effort into building ones own "house" rather then worrying about what my neighbor's doing in his house??

You put it very well, and it's one way to think about it, IMO having both won't interfere as much. Morphzone will keep fulfilling its role, it's not like it's being exchanged for AW. Besides, we're not talking on putting news on AW we're talking on forum posts appearing front page, we're talking cross pollination, something that in the same backyard is quite difficult to achieve.

Again, this is not because if it is the right thing to do or not, one could perfectly go there and cast a no vote, or express it on the thread, the point being expressing, letting it live or die regarding the natural feeling of Morphzone users.

Hmm, I registered at AW.net long ago and read it a few
times a month and I dont feel it to be a place that needs change ... so imho the poll is not needed.

    pff.. more nonsense threads...

    okay...

    1. My nick is tokai and not Tokai (note the small 't' at the beginning).

    2. I don't see any point to infiltrate Amigaworld.net (an OS4 support site) with MorphOS or AROS posts. The only goal of such action can be blue/black trolling to annoy the red guys. And really.. we are more mature than this, no?

    3. If such action is successful it will only force OS4 fans to infiltrate Morphzone or AROS-exec in the same way. And I would like to have Morphzone.org exclusively for MorphOS related discussion.

    4. There are enough good sites which promote MorphOS in a good way. There is no need to use spammer-alike tactics to get more recognition on an alien forum.

    5. If you really want to help MorphOS then do it in a sportive way by supporting new MorphOS users with the help they need here on Morphzone, by doing some creative work (be it coding, gfx work, writing articles or whatever) for MorphOS.

I see you're from portugal... why you never asked me to get involved in the MorphOS translation process? I'm still looking for a translator (or two) doing portuguese translations. Wouldn't that be more productive than wasting time to 'promote' MorphOS on an OS4 forum where it most likely only faces rejection anyway?

    regards,

    Hello,

AmigaWorld have to display MorphOS/AROS because of this name.
MorphOS only fans have their own site : https://morph.zone
AROS only fans have their own site : http://aros.sourceforge.net/fr/
OS4 only fans have their own site : www.amigans.net

Trolling is just between few (stupid) people. In a french site http://www.amigaimpact.org/ , AROS, MorphOS, AmigaOS4, Classic are living in harmony and there are no big problem, just some jokes sometimes.

Before a friend show me MorphOS, i don't remember readen somethig about it even if i used lot internet to read "official" Amiga news.
IMO, there's lot of old amiga fans who doesn't know MorphOS so AmigaWorld have to show all "Amiga" ways.

I think if you want to talk about MorphOS you should do it here and not on AW.net.

I am sometimes active on AW.net but only to discuss about general Amiga things (most MorphOS users used to be Amiga users) or nonsense about Amiga Inc stuff. Occasionally I've defended MorphOS when it's been necessary but I don't troll MorphOS on AmigaOS threads or needlessly compare hardware.

Certain other users have been happy to raise Efika etc in hardware threads. Even BBRV has posted there from time to time.
