Ok guys, I posted this News item. This is new territory, but I want to make sure that MorphZone gives BACK to everyone who helps to make MorphZone the great place that it is. After much thought, I decided to go ahead and post the item. I need to come up with the rules for both advertisers and for redistributing any goodies submitted.

I want to make sure of two basic things, one that everyone gets a fair shot. Secondly, I want to make sure that the product actually gets reviewed!

What ideas do you guys have about how to do these things?

first idea: in order to be as fair as possible for members, the offer will ONLY be good for members who've joined on, or before, 2003/8/29 CST (united states, central standard time).

Perhaps you should better introduce a
'quality-of-posts' ranking. Where members
can award points to other members who were
helpfull / showed knowledge. And then offer
the things to those with higher (monthly-/weekly-)
ranks first. As a 'user of the month' award

When the Peg-II becomes available to the public, MorphZone will revisit what is done for advertising. I consider that event a crossroads, and will be looked at again. That is when I'll ask, "was it successful?" "Did it help the community?" "Did it really provide a valuable service?"

The real question remains, how to decide fairly on which member gets to do the review, and therefore gets the free software? I think by having the review, the available field will be cut some, but there will still likely to be more volunteers than free products.
