    Hi everyone,

I will be receiving my PegII in a couple of days, with MorphOS and debian pre-installed, and would like to know if there are some facts or issues I should be aware of before starting to fool around with the system (installing a bigger, secondary HD / installing soft / configuring /etc.).

Of course, any other suggestions/ideas about which soft to install, where to get it and practical stuff like that are more than welcome :-)

Make sure you get a proper 80 pin cable for the HD. I assume the
machine will already have two units (CD/DVD and HD) so you need
another cable - don't be cheap and use some old 40 pin cable, it can
cause many kinds of nasty trouble.

For tips of what to download, see the download section of this site as
well as the right hand column on www.morphos-news.de. Otherwise just
follow the discussion here.. useful, new and updated software is
probably the most lively topic around here.

Even if your Pegasos 2 will probably come with the latest updates (mos1.4.5 + 3d update) you might want to register for updates as soon as possible.

Excuse me for such a stupid question (I have lots of catching up to do concerning MorphOS and pegasos), but where do you register to get the OS updates ?
