Sympathies to all touched by these terror acts. Stay strong!

Why can't they attack military targets.

A very sad day indeed. My heart goes out to all victims and otherwise touched by this barbaric act.

While I do not approve any terroristattacks, I have to ask myself two questions:
1) does this differ much from what USA and GB have been doing in Iraq for past couple years? Hundreds of civilians have been killed there aswell.
2) For how long GB thought they could fight their war far far away from homesoil? You start a war, you have to accept the possibility that there might be own losses.

Might sound harsh and I'm sorry for that.. I do feel sympathy for the people who got killed and injured. Personally I just do not accept the mainreason (weapons of massdestruction) which the alliance used to attack Iraq.

Le't s hope there won't be more attacks.

I feel sorry for the victims and their families, remember we had a similar, only deadlier attack back on 11 March 2004.

There will be lots, lots of analysis in the following days about the consequences of this attack.

Meanwhile, the "first world" will keep on ignoring WHY these attacks happen. We don't want to know, we just want to reinforce our fortresses. That is also making some people richer.

This is a mad, mad world. But I strongly believe that we, or perhaps our children, are going to see a big change. Some day. To some other direction. It's just unsustainable this way. But it will go worse a bit more before collapsing. We will have to suffer from our own mistakes.

It"s getting closer to home each day...

I was wondering:

What would happen if the Western World would take off its hands from the East?

Would these extremists be happy or would they find some other reason to go on and destroy innocent lives?

Personally I believer the latter one.

I understand your mixed feelings. But add to the warfare also that Iraq had a choice to stop its warfare against Kuweit.
Saddam Hussain has killed 1000's of people in his regime.
Look what's happening even in Bagdad at this moment, these extremists are blowing away themselves with other Islamic people into bits and pieces!

I'll stop my ranting about this, and yes, I'm too angry at these kind of people!

Terrorism, in any form, is a terrible thing no matter what country you call home. Victims of people with bombs strapped to their backs or victims of some other guy's tank--it all amounts to about the same thing: innocent lives lost and injuries. East, west, or in between, people deserve the chance to live out their lives in peace--regardless of the political or theological infrastructure.

Now the rich countries should ask themshelves if bombing a countries is the best way to stop terrorism (bombing Leeds may be a good idea following their theories), if the use of non renewable energies like petrol is a good idea (there should be more investment in solar, eolic and nitrogen energies; cars should be produced with hybrid engines massively)... remember that buying petrol makes some companies too much powerful and some 3rd world countries without culture too much powerful.

if the money invested in weapons shouldn't be invested in feeding hungry countries and even better, giving them knowledge and tools to produce their own food and goods...

The continuous consumism that drives our economies, makes us buy things we don't really need, creates false needs and milks the poor countries until we drink their blood.

An important fact is that at many terrorists don't live in poverty, their minds are full of prejuices thanks to religion. Religion is a thing to erradicate IMHO, but as people who want to believe in some kind of "god" exists all the churches should be controlled by the state.

Another fact is that the lack of education doesn't help in the integration of different cultures... people with a past of illegal activities shouldn't be able to come to Europe.

I think that they should have received some education and in case they don't, the state should force them to receive some course of basic education and pass the exams in a period of time (2 years as maximum) or go back to their countries, otherwise they'll never integrate and will have/cause problems in the long term.
