Yeah, maybe this is not the right place to post this (and I apologize
for it), but I.m new to Morphos and even though I really like it (it
was the only reason to buy the pegasos) I would like to try Debian on
it. I tried the netinstaller version which seemed to work fine till
the very moment when it told me to boot from hd0:2. I had the idea
that it was only possible to boot from a FFS partition (which seems to
be true as I could by no means boot the machine). Besides I couldn.t
find any image in the CD to write to the boot partition in Morphos.

Is there any Good Samaritan with a little spare time to show me how
    the hell to install Debian?

It is very easy... copy the following installer to the root directory of one CD... from OpenFirmware type:
    boot cd vmlinuz-chrp.initrd

    Downloads needed...

    Install from CD:
    http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/sarge_d-i/powerpc/rc2/sarge-powerpc-netinst.iso
    http://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/testing/main/installer-powerpc/rc2/images/powerpc/cdrom/vmlinuz-chrp.initrd

    Install from Network:
    http://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/testing/main/installer-powerpc/rc2/images/powerpc/netboot/vmlinuz-chrp.initrd

After unsuccesfull Debian Linux instalation and restarting my Pegasos into the BEST MorphOS again,
I lost 20GB SFS partition! Linux suckz :-x

This partition is visible in SCSIConfig, but it's not formated now. :-?
It's not in used blocks. What should I do to rescue my data?

Quick format to make partition visible and than try to rescue???

Created new topic: SFS partition loss

Maybe I didn.t explain myself. The problem is not installing, but
making it boot. Where from? How? Using what parameters?

    Ok.. a few things

    1. Did you read the documentation that goes with the cd installer you used?

    2. You need to provide more details as to your hd paritions and setup

    3. You can go to http://www.ppczone.org which is the Official Linux support site for pegasos

    4. By default IIRC you need to boot from the /boot partition of the root linux partition

    example: boot ide:0 /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.blah blah

    5. report back and i can see if I can help. However, the kernel maintainer (Sven L ) provides support on the above mentioned site.

Well the system is supposed to boot from

    hd0:2 boot/vmlinuz-2.4.27-powerpc root=/dev/hdb3 (the file is actually
there, I have checked it from another linux partition I have)

but when I write the above at the Openfirmware I get the message :

    file system not supported

Check the Openfirmware version... I think 1.1 and up does read ext2/3 filesystems... maybe you need to update. There are other posts on that. Do a search.

If it is something else maybe it does not work... if you have a MorphOS install in the disk you can just copy that kernel file to there and boot from the amiga filesystem. To do that you can use a Gentoo LiveCD or during install.
