Hi !

Some months ago, we had a walk about a better way to manage icons. So I've just created a site with a database behind. It allows to find icons easily ! Because it's not the case with archives to download and dozens of directories to visit.

Here you can serch by name, by category (hum ... not exhaustive). If you doesn't find the icon you want, you can send a wish explaining what you want and this will give ideas to graphicians ;)

The site is not very beautiful but I hope it will be useful ! That depends on how many users will upload icons.

I will improve the site, it's my first project with PHP and I am a poor designer but the important functions are here. It may have some bugs due to the session management but I hope everything will be ok !

just checking: am i correct in assuming that you don't actually see what the icon looks like, you just have a list?

i could be missing something (still getting over my sore throat/don't even ask, sickness).

I like your Site but it lacks Icons!

Cecilia : The interest of the site is to look for icons and see them for chosing which you want to download.
Just go to the search page and select one of the 3 radio buttons : saerch by name, search by category, list all icons. For each case, you'll see the icons that are found.

ThePlayer : You're right :( But I'm a developer and I am not able to draw icons myself :( But with the agreement of their author, we could add existing pack of icons ...

I will upload today some Icons i made yesterday for the Aros-Demos!

Could you please rise the max uploadsize to 50kb!

Nice to see people registered ! Unfortunately, there was a bug that didn't set the author at the uploaded icon. This is solved now ... sorry but the site is rather young (and my PHP knowledge too !).

ThePlayer : The max size is raised to 50 kb.

What a great project! I have posted it as news on top of Pegasos.org.
Let's hope you get more support and icons!

Corto, very good, i hope that everybody start to put MOS icons in your site and make a very easy way to us get cool icons in just one place, and stop with this annoying way to try to find icons everywhere .

Cool now there are over 30 Icons. And i will add some more the next days.

I've just checked the download part on MorphZone because I will contact authors to ask them to upload their icons. I noticed the website address of djbase is not valid

I think I'm going to add new functions soon : see the 10 last icons, the number of downloads by icon, ... and I have to improve the management of the categories.
