I am just wondering what sort of features we will be getting on MorphOS 3.20? Will there be a plan to support more than 2 GB of RAM and have a MorphOS 64 bit for PPC system?

    Thanks in advance.

No, no more than 2 GB of RAM.

We know they have fixed a ton of bugs, improved ixemul, some work in flowstudio but I dont know of more.

I want to believe that will be an updated tinygl library.

Im sure they are working to bring to us a great update. And hope it will be soon ;)

We know that jacadcaps is working on a new program called CellBasics and Kronos is working on an overhauled panel for Ambient.

Maybe MorphOS 3.20 will add hardware support for all the other iMac G5 models (save for the 2004 models), since they all have ATi Radeon graphics, as well as the other eMac models that also use ATi Radeon graphics, but I cannot speak presumptuously.

I think we might actually see official Mirari support in MorphOS 3.20. The Mirari team is currently writing drivers for their hardware into the Beta release.

Whatever gets included in the future release, here's hoping it releases by holiday season!

One could argue that CellBasics isn't really part of 3.20 in the same way as WayFarer and Iris aren't.

    Panels, well we will see.

Mirari being officially supported in (public) 3.20 would be a moot point as I expect all those who get a board from the 2nd batch would have access to betas anyways. A 3rd (bigger) batch getting released to the general public is a possibility, but I'm not sure that will work out without the other team also being at least close to a release.

Timing might of course be totally of with 100s of Miraris in the wild by the time of a 3.20 release or the other way round with no boards available till 3.21/22/..

So in short, stuff will happen but I can't really tell you what and when.

Well, Wayfarer and Iris are part of the official MorphOS ISO (even if both included versions are outdated at time of the MorphOS ISO release...).

Maybe a "unsupported, but it may work" like the PCIe Powermacs.

*shrug* point is he might release it before 3.20 if he thinks it's ready and he might remove it from the public ISO if it isn't.

Sure, board works just as good as those right now and I doubt they will add a block just to make sure the odd OS4 developer doesn't get a peek.

All depends on availability of both 3.20 and Mirari at a given point in time.
