Screenbar extensions may cause issue with MorphOS 3.10

After successful upgrade of my PowerBook G4 to MorphOS 3.10, I played with the screenbar extensions.
After activiating the "Wifi" extension my System did freeze (even the mouse pointer did not move anymore). After reboot the system did immediately freeze, only showing the screen bar with some extensions.

Booting without startup sequence did also freeze, because also in this mode the screenbar extensions are still loaded.

So I booted from USB Stick and did delete the following files from SYS:Classes/Screenbar because they do also exist in SYS:MorphOS/Classes/Screenbar
    - Wifi.sbar
    - Wifi.png
    - Energy.sbar

I think I did install these extensions long time ago with the Chrysalis Pack.

@MorphOS Devs: Please change "Boot without startupsequence" to also not load the screenbar extensions.
    To all others:
Better delete the 2 extensions mentioned above before upgrading.

EDIT: Added info that these extensions do also exist in SYS:MorphOS/Classes/Screenbar

Try to see if you get the same crashes when booting from the ISO/USB. It is most likely that Chrysalis messed up your system installation. Generally, if you were using Chrysalis, you should always scrap the install and just make a new one instead of updating.

Yes, you are right. Wifi.sbar causes system crash. I had to delete the module. It is not a problem for me because I don't need this module. I enabled it just for test. :)

@MDW just to clarify: you *are* using WiFi, right? Does the Network preferences exhibit similar issue? (it's the same mcc).

I had two modules for WiFi:
    1. WiFi (installed additionally)
    2. Wireless (standard module from MorphOS)

If I enable WiFi module, system will crash after each MorphOS boot. Wireless module works great and doesn't cause crash. When I delete WiFi module the crash doesn't occur. It is not a problem because I don't need WiFi module. Standard Network module is better. I enabled WiFi module for a moment and just for test (I wanted see how it looks).

I see... so the post topic is just confusing :) If it's about 3rd party screenbars then I'm off the hook :P
