realy nice project.

it was funny when they appluded as he turned the web page around to "write a note" on the back of it.
I'd want to know, can you save this note and return to it?
can you move the note to a different page?
can you save an audio clip the same way? a video clip? hmm, hmmm????
think you can impress ME, white man?

and can I use Opera?
no point in using a crappy brwoser like IE.
anyway, Opera lets you save notes already! and i can add the notes to anything i want!

this "3D" stuff looks nice, but anyone using amigas is used to the idea of multitasking. they are just catching up. lets have multiple monitors hooked up to amigas/pegs and have a "wall O multimadia".
that'll show 'em!

IE has not been ported to Linux and probably won't be in a long time so I wouldn't worry about that.

You did realise that this is for Linux right? He implies so in his speech (but never says it out loud). There is a link to an article about this on OSNews and it has already been stated that this is the predecessor to Sun's Java Desktop which is based on SuSE.

i have Opera on my linux (as well as windows). and i'd rather put a bullet in my head than use IE
I use linux everyday. it's not perfect, but it's useful AND it's not windoze.

I've been using Linux since 1998, you are praying to the choir. I did not intend to imply that Looking Glass was bad because it was Linux. I just wanted to point out that it won't have anything to do with IE since it's not windows.
Personally I prefer Konqueror (fast) and Mozilla (compatible). I never really liked Opera. Too many buttons and gadgets clobbering the screen, and then there is the banner (maybe newer version don't have that?).

looking glass is for solaris and linux......and yes it will work with opera.....no IE

most likely not....i believe that looking glass was created in oder to show what can be done...and to show the world sun is still in the game.......plus i think its awsome.
