Unfortunately error-ridden (especially in the history section), as is ususal for mainstream articles.

Yeah, pretty dreadful. 'two Gateway engineers'?

I can't scroll this web page on my 2015 MacBook Pro without stuttering.
    Too much advertisement.

Odd, because I don't have a problem with it using an old Core2 based Lenovo R400.

But still, an article that could have been absolutely fine as it was, without even touching the "NG", *DID* in fact touch the "NG". And since it went into that realm, it is actually a big fail not to even mention AROS (the first, the open source) or MorphOS (the best ;-)). AeonKit is a newcomer, a latecomer, on the scene and hasn't in practice meant much for anyone in comparison, neither has OS4 itself. The article could also have mentioned the classic scene, the emulation- and preservation scene with Amiga Forever being central, and Cloanto, current owner of the Amiga IP. Focusing the spotlight on AeonKit and Hyperion makes the article reek of contract work. It probably is. And since Hyperion is involved, it's probably part of their Hybrid Warfare strategy in their current ongoing battle to assimilate more Amiga IP from the hands of others by various schemes of judicial robbery. Various trademarks is currently on the agenda, for example. Published articles like this can weight more than Wikipages written by blind fanboys.
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

Not contract work, it looks like it was put together by an Aeon distributor.
This magazine used to see a lot more distribution, but printed media is losing a lot of readers.
And the editors are probably pretty clueless about the entire retro phenomenon.
Pockets of a few hundred to a few thousand maintaining projects on a remarkable range of platforms because we want to.
Practicality, economics, or any other sound business principles go out the window when you're approaching this as a hobby.
So every few years, we get someone from the outside publishing something like this 'Amiga's back' article.
Nothing new, but if people want to pretend it's all a practical, logic, sensible business idea for the general public and not something catering to a small community of hobbyist's...you can cycle back to the first two words of this sentence.
Just more Bill McEwen type dillusions.

"every few years"? I believe you have understated this.

Setting aside the trademark wars over the name itself, we already supposedly have return of product several times this year.

Granted a claim by the article and not a claim by the Vampire people

erm...but then there is this from yesterday

I make no claim as to what is really going on here...just sayin'...

You might be right, it did go from every few years, to every few months, and now week to week.
And the fighting still resembles honey badgers bickering over a limited supply of food.

But everything progressive eventually falls apart.
You take what you can from it while it's ongoing, and from what endures afterwards.
Like a particularly tasty Pink Floyd rift.

But you can't resurrect the dead, and life moves on an evolves.
It 'morphs' into something else. 😀
