Do we have anybody setting up at AmiWest this year?
I know David mentioned that he might not be able to make it as his Sister was visiting.

I will be there and plan to bring a Powermac G5 and two powerbooks. If anyone has something they would like me to show, now is the time to be in touch so I can get it setup.

I think I am going to be able to make it to AmiWest 2016, after finding out my Sister's schedule, and when she is arriving from New Zealand. Now all I need to figure out is where I am going to stay during the show, that allows dogs at night, and a place to keep them out of trouble during the day, as I am bringing them with me, and will continue driving South, after the show is over. This is going to be a costly trip, considering the cost of a kennel for two days, for two dogs, the fuel for my car to drive down to Sacramento, then further South to Big Bear Lake, my old home town, and after visiting with family there for a few days, I'll be driving another two day drive to Roswell, New Mexico, where my Father lives, as both of my Sisters plan on flying there to spend a week with him, instead of him coming to Southern Calif., like he usually does when my younger Sister comes from New Zealand for her annual visits with family and friends.

I'll probably drive a total of approximately 1,500 to 1,800 miles before I return home in 3 or 4 weeks, but have not mapped out my trip yet, and don't know which roads/freeways I am going to use to return from New Mexico, to Northern California. Some of you may not realize just how big California is, or how long it is, but driving from the border with Mexico to the border with Oregon is about 800 miles, depending on which freeways and roads you take. I know the path well, as it took me about 5 or 6 round trips to get all of my possessions moved from Big Bear Lake to Lake Shastina last year and the beginning of this year.

Enough history and personal complaining, long story just to let all of you know that MorphOS will be represented at AmiWest 2016, by myself with a dedicated MorphOS display table, and Aciil, with his MorphOS system(s), and Amiga hardware repair services. Perhaps Eliyahu will also bring his Pegasos 2 system, if he has room in his car.

Let me and the others who are bringing MorphOS systems to AmiWest know what you think we should be demonstrating this year, and for the few MorphOS Dev. Team members who might read this message, feel free to contact me with anything new that you would like promoted or demonstrated during the show. In past years the MorphOS Dev. Team has been gracious enough to allow me to show beta versions of one or two versions of MorphOS that was almost ready for release, but I am not expecting that to happen this year.

I hope to see more MorphOS users and/or developers show up at AmiWest 2016, so we can show the community that AmigaOS4 is not the only NG Amiga-Like system available out there, and that there is interest and support for MorphOS from more than just one guy that shows up annually to promote it.

My G5 did not arrive with the WiFi antennae, or Airport card inside, so I guess it was an option that you had to order from Apple when purchasing it. Either that, or someone removed it before selling it to me used, but I doubt that.

Since my G5 is set up right next to my router, I have never seen the need to price or look for an Airport card and antennae for it.

Edit: The Airport cards can be found for about $5, but the external antennae is hard to find and expensive. I suggest you use a cheap Ethernet bridge wireless receiver. I have a couple of them and they work on any computer with an Ethernet port.

Yes, AirPort Extreme was a BTO option with all PowerMac G5 models.

    MorphOS brides?

I'll take two to go, if they look good and have their own source of income.

If any of you have a working installation of the latest "work in progress" PPC version of Pagestream for MorphOS, please let me know how you got it working. I would like to demonstrate it at AmiWest 2016 this weekend.

Any other MorphOS programs you can suggest for demonstrating, or features of the OS itself that you think should be pointed out to potential new and existing users, please let me know. I'm leaving for Sacramento tomorrow morning (if I can get everything done today, without any problems).

See some of you Friday evening, or when ever you arrive at the show. It's going to be fun to see everyone again, and find out what might be happening with some of the other community members.
