I wouldn't mind to pay for a MorphOS native Ppaint though. I hope Trevor will make it happen. At least he is a cool guy.

But it is true that most software is free and the rest is mostly sold out by now. A MorphOS dedicated online store would make more sense to me, but only barely since there would be no money earned for doing it. It had to be a project of love in that case.

Option one: Support IndieGO MOS as existing alternative, or develop one (e.g. using Hoolywood)

IndieGO MorphOS section could be a beginning (if software authors support it).

Option two: A nice website is alternative. Its not all about app, a nice link on MOS disk that points out to website could be a nice beginning.

Steam like app is nice, but a centralized website with direct contact to authors/companies (or Vesalia type of webshop) is something community/MorphOS team could do meanwhile and serves the purpose. Kind of what DJ Rikki did for OS4 practically making the OS4 centric website that Hyperion just latter on blessed (note they had nice looking OS4 site before, but it blew dead, they haven`t revived it and had no info on software).

    3) Make MorphOS market viable target to AEON. Surely, they could sell as many MOS licenses as OS4 ones.

On the note of MorphOS development of AEON purchased Amiga software, since they require certain amount of pre-orders (arguably at same price as they sell 68k/OS4 versions) should we start a bounty on that, or "buy" 68k versions with comments we donate money to MorphOS version development and use 68k version meanwhile? (note its a bit strange usually AmigaKit tech support gives those comments?

This was mentioned, but was the bar (how many copies) ever set?

IMHO, if several of those apps would be made, and I suppose AmiStore 68k can work on MorphOS (even 060 struggles with it), that could create a apps store MorphOS section (with those other AmiStore 68k apps that also work on MorphOS). That is a longer and harder way to make MorphOS users viable market to current AmiStore/AEON.

Yup, and I asked for it last year at Amiwest. It would be nice to see it though. I think the one thing we are missing that would improve the availability of software installs and updates. Getting it all in one place is a must. Having a one stop shop for buying new software is even better.
