I wanted to share a new Kickstarter campaign with you all.

The goal is to re-release classic video games from the 80’s and 90’s via a player that works on mobile phones, tablets, and smart TVs. This includes 100s of popular games from Amiga, Atari and others.

You can learn more about it on the Kickstarter website: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1863001882/retro-infinity-player

I strongly suggest you do some research into Writ, Retroinfinity, and Amiga Games Inc before investing any money of your own. Doubly so before recommending anyone else to do so.

Popular games from Amiga? You mean such as these for the Atari 2600?

...or do you mean the Amiga games Mind Walker, Defender of the Crown I & II and Amiga CD Football published by Commodore?

"We have licensed hundreds of amazing retro games that were played on consoles and PC's created by such legendary video gaming companies as Amiga [...]"

    See above.

Since they were splashging shots of games from Gremlin Graphics around I thought I'd check out what happened to Gremlin and who owns them now. It turns out that they are now owned by a company called Urbanscan, which is a company started by former Gremlin MD Ian Stewart. It seem Urbanscan had intended to do IOS remakes of some of the most popular games but they don't seem to have done anything since their Premier Manager game for PS3 and Windows back in 2012. Judging by their financials it didn't sell well and they're strapped for cash now.

It does actually turn out that Writers Group/Retro Infinity do have a license from Urbanscan to distribute Gremlin titles for various platforms. Not that I'd trust anything they're upto, of course.
