Since Dave and I will both be at Amiwest this year I thought it would be a good idea to extend out an offer to any of the developers looking to have something shown off. I would be willing to show anything I can run on the latest build of MorphOS and would keep anything not ready for others to have strictly on my machine as well if that is required.

Please email or PM me any questions. I'd love to make this show as big a demo as I did when I introduced the Pegasos II and MOS at the last Amiwest when it was first released.

5 or 6 days before the 2015 AmiWest show begins, Trevor will be with the MorphOS Dev. Team in Germany showing the X5000 running MorphOS3.xx beta, unless the next version of MorphOS with support for the X5000 is released before that date. I hope that Trevor and A-Eon will show MorphOS running on the X5000 at AmiWest as well.

I'm a bit rusty on new features but would be willing to show off something for sure. Speaking in front of people is something I do every day here at the University. Its not a problem for me.

In other words, copy what Run-in-UAE does for AmigaOS4.x and demonstrate that it is just as easy to accomplish on MorphOS, and in fact, more Classic Amiga software runs well on MorphOS than on AmigaOS4.x. This is just a suggestion for part of your presentation, since most of the people who attend AmiWest are classic Amiga users, and a good many of them also use AmigaOS4.x and one of their most often used excuses for not liking or using MorphOS, is the appearance being too different from AmigaOS3.x.

I think I will set up my X1000 right next to my dual 2.7GHz G5 PowerMac and change the appearance of Ambient on the G5 to look as much like AmigaOS4.x as possible. Then people trying it out can see which system works better without being too distracted by the differences in the appearance of the two desktops. Where ever the same software and games are available that run on both MorphOS3.9 and AmigaOS4.1FE, they can then be run side by side for comparisons of the top performing system for each platform that is currently available (unless the X5000 becomes available before AmiWest 2015 begins).

I am not 100% sure on the classic side of things. I am still working on getting mine perfected here on the Powerbook if you look at my other thread, but I am happy to say thats fixed and now working too.

I'd rather keep it simple and be more one on one for a demo I think if you want that much detail shown.
