Great! I usually am not bad at it, but did a terrible job of it a few years ago when I tried to prepare something to present at AmiWest. Too many distractions from other parts of my life at that time, and a lack of concentration on what I was trying to accomplish are the only excuses I can offer for my poor performance that day (not a good excuse, but the only one I can think of looking back on it).
Think about what you want to say and demonstrate and try to prepare some kind of outline to work from, so you aren't just playing it be ear, or doing an off the cuff presentation, or you may end up doing no better than I did a few years ago. It does not need to be long, or very detailed. As a suggestion, given who you will be giving this demonstration to, it might be a good idea to demonstrate how easy it is to set up MorphOS to look more like AmigaOS3.1, or AmigaOS4.1FE, and then demonstrate how easy it is to run "Classic" Amiga software, by setting up E-UAE on your system and also setting up the tool types, or mime settings to run E-UAE when you double click on an icon for any software that needs to access the old custom chipset to run properly. In other words, copy what Run-in-UAE does for AmigaOS4.x and demonstrate that it is just as easy to accomplish on MorphOS, and in fact, more Classic Amiga software runs well on MorphOS than on AmigaOS4.x. This is just a suggestion for part of your presentation, since most of the people who attend AmiWest are classic Amiga users, and a good many of them also use AmigaOS4.x and one of their most often used excuses for not liking or using MorphOS, is the appearance being too different from AmigaOS3.x.
I think I will set up my X1000 right next to my dual 2.7GHz G5 PowerMac and change the appearance of Ambient on the G5 to look as much like AmigaOS4.x as possible. Then people trying it out can see which system works better without being too distracted by the differences in the appearance of the two desktops. Where ever the same software and games are available that run on both MorphOS3.9 and AmigaOS4.1FE, they can then be run side by side for comparisons of the top performing system for each platform that is currently available (unless the X5000 becomes available before AmiWest 2015 begins).
