I own Logitech mk270 Mouse + Keyboard Wireless USB Combo...

Here's what Poseidon tells about Logitech dongle amongst other messages:

    Quote:

07:48:50| 0-hub.class: Detected device 'USB Receiver' at port 3. I like it.
    07:48:50| 0-hub.class: Hub has added 1 device(s). That'll be fun!
07:48:50| 0-hid.class: Using HID Descriptor from initial configuration run.
07:48:50| 0-hid.class: HID the road, 'USB Receiver'!
    07:48:50| 5-hid.class: SET_IDLE=0 failed: endpoint stall (4)!

07:48:50| 0-hid.class: Adding special HID2HCI Logitech Bluetooth init sequence, but deactivated!
07:48:50| 5-hid.class: This init sequence would disable HID usage and enable pure Bluetooth use!

Can a WiFi 2,4 GHz USB Dongle be transformed in Bluetooth Dongle?

At least WiFi and Bluetooth works both in the 2,4 GHz Radio Frequency close range...

Or it was just Chris Hodges joking with Poseidon system of notification messages?

Some Logitech dongles can indeed also work as BT dongles. Rather pointless as we don't have a BT stack.

Is a Bluetooth stack being worked on, or intended for the near future?

As this would be a great feature, and would save me having to use the dual-boot option for Mac OSX to initiate/pair my Apple Bluetooth keyboard, on the sporadic occasion it loses its pairing code.

Not that I'm aware of. Some thoughts on that topic from several years ago:

So, if I understand correctly Chris Hodges (platon42) did much of the required work for a Bluetooth stack, but there is a licensing cost that is going to be a main cause for concerrn due to an annual licensing fee - which seems to be at a prohibitively high cost.

Yes unfortunately this fact that BlueTooth licensing is not free and requires payments of a fee was discussed many times.

However i am pleasant surprised Poseidon Stack can recognize that my Logitech keyboard Dongle could be transformed into Bluetooth full working dongle DESPITE the lack of a stack.

I don't know why Bluetooth consortium is so greed.

Instead of a payment UNA-TANTUM (once and for all), it requires a starting fee for being enlisted in the members of the consortium, and PLUS an yearly fee for what? I think IMHO For being sure that all future BT peripherals will be compatible in the future? Absurd.

Now I know why Bluetooth required years for being accepted in USA too.

Americans were sure not happy for paying unuseful and not reasonable yearly fees...

You must pay also for being official Qualifier Expert.

Necessity of paying all these fees sure prevents Bluetooth being reallly universal...

    Here is price list.
