I don't seem to see my issue through searching the forums.

I have managed to setup a synergy server using linux mint 17.
I have added a screen called MorphOS and my powerbook connects now.
    The mouse works fine.
However, when using the mouse over the MOS machine the keyboard puts out junk.
Got to be a simple reason for this.
I tried Windows and Mac setting to no avail.

p.s. I had to use a different port as the default port was somehow in use or blocked.
    I am using port 52000.

Hmmm....how is synergy for Linux different than synergy for Windows?
    Same source code....and service?

I just researched synergy. It has quite a poor history.
Way to many bugs and limited uses.
Most people pay for a commercial alternative.

I will pull up vmware with windows 7 and see if I get better results.
Though the mouse works fine I would prefer to have the keyboard also.

ok, due to vmware-tools running windows 7 as a synergy server in linux is a bust.
I got rid of my kvm switch when synergy for mos was made available.
    Seems like a mistake now.
You win some, you lose some.

    What are my other options?
I do not wish to remote control the MOS machine.
I wish to emulate a kvm switch in software and share a mouse and keyboard.

Well, you might want to revise your ealier plan and run Debian Linux in a VM on top of Windows (or MacOS)...

Sorry, I abandoned windows for good back in the summer.
I now use linux mint 17 64bit and if I need windows I boot it in VMWare.
I couldn't take the malware anymore so I left.
Can vnc share mouse and keyboard or is it just for remote control?
Sorry, I was never a vnc person when remoting so not sure.

    From http://morphos-team.net/releasenotes/3.6 :

Yes, Linux was omitted for a reason.

Why oh why would you do that without testing it first? :) Anyway, Linux servers will be supported in the upcoming MorphOS release...
