May be, it is necessary to use special commands. But I don't need utf8, so...

    Thank you for your work!!!

I had some problems coompiling other unicode stuff, so I think unicode is completely not supported at the moment. In german we also can use the command like \"a to print an ä. I don't know if this is also possible in your language.

Since upload on Aminet or MorphOS Files does not work (Aminet seems to have problems, no reaction from MorphOS Files for one week now) I've created a torrent download. You can get the release here.

Hello! I tried to download the torrent but it seems it is not active anymore. Can someone please help spreading it? Or upload the archive to morphos-files or any filehoster?
I also had problems with the torrent programs from Aminet. ctorrent 1.3.4 and ctorrent-mos started but then stopped the whole machine to work after about 5 seconds. I have to powercycle the machine. bittorrent works longer but does not download because of a python error as it tells. But as I just got the executable in the share drawer there is no python in this archive. What can I do about it? Also, why is it necessary to set thsi TERM variable to 8bit? And then the letters turn pink on grey! Uhhh this is not pretty. Can it be done without that setting? As all thesee torrent programs are quite old they maybe have to be updated for MOS 3.7?

You can use MLDonkey even for torrent files and it works fine.

MLDonkey is too much overhead compared to a simple shell tool that does just need one line to run.

Mhh it does not download with bittorrent-curses. I get the following output:

It also does not stop on ctrl-c, ctrl-d or simlar keys. Is there a newer version available that fixes this problem? Maybe the one that I have is tooo old? THe version that I have is from 24-Jan-06 from tokai. Is he around to maybe produce a newer version for us?
Also, before starting bittorrent-curses, the text in Shell is black. In bittorrent-curses it is pink. And when I break bittorrent-curses from another Shell the text stays pink. Can it be changed back again? Even better would be without color change at all because pink is so hard to read. Black is the easiest color to read in Shell.

I downloaded the archive TeXLive2012-MorphOS.tar.bz2 in 2013, just after it was made available by ciVic. However your experience stimulated my curiousity so I tried again a few hours ago.

The download started immediately and continued uninterrupted for about 3 hours until I received the full file (1668338304 bytes) few minutes ago. There were 3 sources (all in Germany) and the download rate was always in the range 120-200 KB/s.

You're right, but unfortunately it seems that the simple shell tool does not work...

Thank you, I downloaded it and it took hours to unpack. Then I ran "Startup TeX" to install all assings. I hoped to find the commands latex or pdflatex in the package. Both are not in there. So I ran the tex command but it says:
    fmtutil: /tex/texmf-var/web2c/tex/tex.fmt installed.
    /tex/texmf-var/web2c/tex/tex.fmt
rm: cannot remove '/tmp/fmtutil.1055437728': File exists
    I can't find the format file `tex.fmt'!

But this file is present in two places:
    TeXLive/texmf/web2c/tex/
    TeXLive/texmf-var/web2c/tex/

What is needed to let it find these files? And why are latex and pdflatex missing? Could you add them, please?

Then I run 'texconfig'. It needs about one minute (!) to start (Mac mini), then it gives a message that you can set some settings here and then asks for pressing return to continue, same as on Linux, and when I do hit return it then it immediately quits. So it has a bug and I cannot change any settings. What is wrong here? On Linux I get a simple text menu in colours to set the configuration.
