    Hi guys,
as already asked on #morphos I am preparing the Powerbook for the "imminent" 3.0 release and already resized the Leopard partition (30GB are more than enough for my needs) to make room on the HD (160GB) for MorphOS. I would like to create also a Data partition (to store documents, videos, music, etc.) and I would like that it was fully accessible (read/write) from both the OSes, Leopard and MorphOS.
So now the question: which filesystem you suggest to use for this partition?

I know that HFS+ can only be read from MOS side and someone told me that HFS is "too limited" (but i don't know which are these limits). EXT3 if I remember well is not an option (not supported by MorphOS? Correct me if I am wrong). Maybe EXT2 or FAT32 or NTFS. What do you suggest?
Thanks in advise to everyone will be so gentle to show me the route! :-)

At least the FAT 32 partition I set up and formated under MorphOS was not seen by OS X. Hence I wouldn't recomend that. I use HFS, but it is pretty limited.
    Better suggestions are welcome.

I want to add: my idea was to use the Ubuntu Lice CD and Gparted to create the new partition. Is it a good idea or do you have better suggestions? The default tool that comes with Leopard can create just HFS+ partitions.

I remember about old argumentations about RDB/MBR that can't coexist on the same HD. Is something that touches my case or nothing related to this? If I not remember bad NTFS and maybe also FAT can be created only on HD with MBR.
As you probably have understood there is totally chaos in my mind about this topic, so actually, if someone can illuminate me I would be very grateful.

pretty late, but maybe this will help you. I had the same problem and creating a partition on morphos side would result in OS X not recognizing the FAT partition.
Just download iPartition for OS X and create your FAT partition with that.

That worked for me and now i can transfer data between the two OSes pretty easily.
