I purchased this printer for my father to using it with PC-Wintel, and now I am testing it if works on MorphOS.
it was a surprise that at least it prints.
However Epson Expression XP-302 scanner-printer shares more or less same mechanics and electronics of all 302-305 etc. Epson series, included professional one Workforce 310 that is at the end of the SANE2 list that you posted...
(i read the SANE2 list BEFORE connecting it to MorphOS, either I had not even made an attempt and i had asked my brother who owns an Epson Perfection 1650 scanner).
However IMHO there are not many changes of features from Workforce SOHO class to Expression home printers class, just except the fact that components in WorkForce are more robust.
Both printer classes print at maximum of 5760x1440 dpi and both have same scanner resolution at 1,200\dpi x 2,400\dpi (Horizontal x Vertical) and both scanners is CIS technology scanning.
Just think the fact that if you read specs of Epson printers, they all share the same technology, despite of the price.
It truly seems all have have same electronics and mechanics, as you can see from their form, and print feed slide, except they have different cases and manufacturing .
The fact that Epson C-84 printer driver still is capable to pilot my Expression XP-302 makes me wonder that changes in internal language of Epson printers are very few, so a fortiori, it must be true for the scanners too...
So it is strange that Workforce 310 is reported to be supported "GOOD" in the SANE list, and my Expression XP-302 scanner does not work.
