Could anyone please share a link in this forum to a guide to create and use an appss docky? I found one thread that is 3 years old, and I'm wondering if there's something more recent. Thanks.

    Assuming you mean Panels......

    Prefs->Ambient->Panels

    Should be straightforward *whistles*

By "docky" I meant shortcuts to the most frequently used apps arranged in a strip either at the bottom or sides of the screen. The same used in WB 3.9 or Mac OS.

That is what we call panels. As Kronos said they are build in, accessable via Ambient prefs and not limited to a side or number.

    Panels

    Creating a new panel:

Open the Panel preferences window (RMB on desktop > Settings > Ambient. Select 'Panels' from the list in the left hand pane).
Click 'New Panel' to create a panel.
Click 'Save' to close Ambient preferences and save the new panel.

    Adding icons to the panel:

Icons can be added by drag/dropping them onto the panel.
Make sure to drag/drop onto an empty area of the panel, the drag gadget, or any spacers. Dragging/dropping onto an existing icon will replace the original with the drag/dropped one.
Icons can be deleted by right-clicking and selecting 'delete from panel' from the context menu.

Once you have finished adding icons to your panel, right click on the panel and select 'Locked'.
Once the panel is locked, drag/drop functions are enabled (eg drag a text file onto a word processor icon to open that file with that program).
Adding and deleting icons to a locked panel can still be done in the same way.

    Reorganising icons:

    From the desktop
Right-click on an icon and select 'move' from the context menu. The icon can now be moved to the desired position and will be placed when you click the left mouse button.

    From Panel preferences
In the 'Panels' pane, expand the panel you wish to edit by clicking the little arrow to the left of the panel name.
Drag and drop the list items to rearrange.

    Panel preferences:

Panel preferences are accessed via RMB on desktop > Settings > Ambient. Select 'Panels' from the list in the left hand pane.
Panels can be created, deleted or rearranged here as described in the previous sections.
Other panel items such as spacers, sub-panels, etc can also be added from here by dragging list items from the right-hand pane into the 'panel' pane.
The look and behaviour of each panel can be configured by selecting the panel name, and changing the options which appear in the bottom of the preferences window.
Behaviour affecting all panels can be changed in the 'global' pane.

Changes are previewed in real time, can be applied until a reboot by clicking 'Use' to close the preferences window, or can be saved permanently by clicking 'Save'. Changes can be discarded by clicking 'Cancel'.

^^ Far from a complete tutorial, but should get you started. :-)

    EDIT: Additions, corrections.
