is there and easy way of remapping the copy and paste buttons to use same keys as windows ? I'm constantly shifting between morphos and remote desktop machines and copy and pasting is a pain.
I tried in poseidon prefs but then you just rearrange keycodes, it would be better if morphos changes to use left ctrl-c and v

AFAIR they are by default, if not just open mui settings and add them in keyboard settings.

in mui/keyboard settings on copy , i press to sample the key, and press left ctrl on keyboard and nothing shows up, when pressing ctrl on the right side it says control..but not on left ctrl

in usb settings i press track incoming key events and see that both left and right ctrl button are mapped to 0x63 (control).
but i had to press on the right control first to get the left ctrl to work, if i go into usb settings/devices & keyboard and track incoming and press left ctrl, nothing happends.....wierd

Not sure what your doing, but when I open prefs->MUI->keyboard I see 2 stringgadgets for Cut/Copy/Paste
1st is "ramiga x" "ramiga c" and "-repeat ramiga v" while the 2nd read "control x" "control v" and "-repeat control v"

So adding those "control.." keycombos should be enough.

yes, i have "ramiga x" "ramiga c" and "-repeat ramiga v" in addition to the control ones, but nothing happens when i press ctrl-c or v, also trying to sample a key in there, pressing left ctrl does nothing....i've tried 2 keyboards now, and same on both so its nothing with faulty hardware..

I deleted poseidon.prefs and rebooted and could confirm with fifth button on mouse wasnt doing the screen cycle just to be sure it wasnt any usb key settings i've fucked up, trying the same again, and no change

Well there is also a global MUI prefs, defining these things for all apps that you have NOT set them to something specific.
