MorphOS 3.5.1 Files Transfer Require Less RAM?

    I didn't use 3.4 enough to notice a difference, but I know that before that, I was not able to copy large files (CD images and the like) over to my hard drive without running out of memory.
    In order to work around this I had to install Directory Opus.

    Now I don't have to bother, the RAM level always remains at about 38% at most! Before it would max out and lock my system up every time.

    Cannot confirm that.... didn't have any problems transfering large (really large) files (>8GB) with Transfer(ftp) before..... (eg. to/from NAS). I'm useing ICDFS on HD of course.

    Problems occur if you use SAMBA/smbfs and/or SFS-Partitions when copying files larger then 2GB.....
    Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....
