There are times my G5 just acts weird. Its been acting up since 3.2(?) or whenever I got G5 support in MorphOS.

Right now I'm running 3.4, regged. I get weird problems sometimes. On cold boot, sometimes it freezes. Mouse doesnt move, but the CPU temp gauge reads and shows its warming up or the second ticks away on the clock.

Sometimes a weird netstack error or now..

+++ Error 8 in line 0: Unrecognized token
Command returned 10/8: <This space intentionally left blank!>

9/10 times I have to power it off and on. I did the 3.3 --> 3.4 upgrade. I do have Chrysalis installed, it was installed on a vanilla 3.3. I would rather NOT wipe out my MorphOS install but debug why its freaking out.

If needed, I guess I could install 3.4 fresh with no Chrysalis.

    Bad or loose ram?

I had similar problems wih my PowerBook due to the broken by design second ram slot. Might be worth cleaning the ram slots and reseating the sticks, or even try different sticks.
    1.67GHz 15" PowerBook G4, 1GB RAM, 128MB Radeon 9700M Pro, 64GB SSD, MorphOS 3.15

    2.7GHz DP G5, 4GB RAM, 512MB Radeon X1950 Pro, 500GB SSHD, MorphOS 3.9

As always, if you're having problems with MorphOS, the first thing you should do is to boot from a MorphOS CD and see if the problem persists under those conditions. If booting from the CD works fine, the problem is likely down to some software you have installed.
