    Ah, clarity.
It does look like something I could support.

    > Project Metropols is Jack with special GFX branding, that was not
    > available until recently.

Okay, so what you seem to say is that the regular version 3.2.5 of Jack as available on the Jack website since September 2012 is *not* Project Metropolis, right? This conforms with the Project Metropolis FAQ reading "Project Metropolis is nothing more than Jack with DiscreetFX branding and marketing". If so, where is actual Project Metropolis that has become available recently, as you say?
I now see that few hours ago on the Project Metropolis website you changed text from

"Project Metropolis is available now from its developer http://jackforamigaos.wordpress.com/ "

    to

"Developers site for Project Metropolis without DiscreetFX branding"

...followed by a link to the Jack homepage.
If, as you say, Project Metropolis is "Jack with DiscreetFX branding", how can there even be "Project Metropolis without DiscreetFX branding"? Wouldn't that be just regular Jack 3.2.5 then as available since September 2012? And wouldn't that mean that Project Metropolis as defined by your humble self is in fact *not* available?

    > I can clear it up for you easy.

I'm not sure that anything is clear. The Jack author said:

"it would be quite easy to add a new page tab into the App-Store for such purpose, however DiscreetFX aren't that amazingly forthcoming with information of what products are to appear. I have very little info on the 'developer programme' as well, I can imagine that there has been very little success."
    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=34937&forum=32&start=80#706246

In the same thread, you replied:

"We no longer have time to do this. Just get Jack and your all good."
    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=34937&forum=32&start=80#706268

The only conclusion I can draw from this is that there is no Project Metropolis and never has been, despite your attempts at making it appear real.

I draw my conclusions from the facts and statements at hand.

    > I do have a signed contract.

You of all people should know that a contract does not a product make.
Is the other party to the contract the Jack author? Has the contract been fulfilled?

Well, this pissing match seems to have cooled slightly.
Still no sign of Project Metropolis, and Jack is only a beta for MorphOS.
So Bill may have another slow developer on his hands.

He is moving forward with recruiting Aladdin 4D 6.0 coders though.

Meanwhile, MUI-fied Jack 4.0 has been released for OS4:

No word about a version "with DiscreetFX branding", though.

...or the situation may be completely different.

    Granted.
I wonder how the author is porting the code to MorphOS?
Last year he posted that he did not have a MorphOS system and needed testers for the beta version.

I do think DiscreetFX is sincere in wanting to support other NG OS'.

I guess he's switching the Hollywood compiler target to MorphOS, after making some MorphOS-specific adaptions, like those from last year:

This is probably still the case.

    Sounds painful.
Got any idea where he is located?
The information is not included in his profile.

Hard to believe he doesn't find anyone with MOS that are willing to test it.

I don't think the 4.0 version for MorphOS is ready yet.
You can still download th beta of the earlier version.

It is hard to believe that Hollywood creates code that is that transportable.
    But, obviously, it does.
And I would be willing to test it.
I do not really see the point in Dopus5 (since Ambient already has some of the elements included in that package).
But I have already downloaded Claus' beta of Cinnamon Writer (pretty good).
Testing something like this for bugs does not sound too odious.

    Well that nixes that idea.

"Metropolis was basically going to be a new tab in the Jack AppStore, but in the end nothing much was happening at Discreet FX so it didn't going much further than the initial idea stage."
