    Hey everyone.

    Just signed up today :)

I've just bought an Efika and am about to attempt to install MorphOS 2... I've finally found a USB pen that the efika will read files off (hooray) and am now waiting for it to boot from it.. (It's quite a slow pen, so here's hoping)

Looking forward to spending time here.

Just to get the booing out of the way early.. I also have an AmigaOne with OS4. But I've always wanted to be part of both red and blue camps and hopefully today will eb the day :)

lol, yep, I am crazy :)

Thx for the welcome keropi :)

I gave up with USB boot in the end (Didn't work -_-) So I set up a TFTP server on my network and ran the install image from there... (And using the .iso file off of a USB pen :D)

It's going through the install as I type this :)

Welcome to the community! Have fun. Dont forget to join the morphos mailing list and go on the irc for help.

You will now see why morphos is better than os4...

Magnetic: Can't you just resist to drop a comment about this blue <->red thingie? The less one talks about this stupid rivality the less importance it gets and we can focus on more constructive things.
    Thank you.

Hi binox, I'm new too, my efika arrived today (UPS dropped it on my doorstep but I'm at work). My pico psu wont arrive for a few days tho.

I dont think I can afford MOS2.0 :( so am going to try and port AROS.

Of course I will keep playing with the 30 minute timeout and try to find an excuse to put the mos2 prince on my visa card and explain it to my wife ;) somehow...

Therefore the "try" :-) I see no good in restarting the AROS to Efika porting, provided Tigger somewhat proceeded with his effort. Maybe Team AROS should set a deadline as to when the bounty will be opened again if Tigger continues to fail going public.

Well, what would have been best is if his changes had been committed back into the tree... (they may be, but to my understanding, they have not... I'm still waiting for access to the svn repo).

But I guess, we can wait another year to see if he does anything...

Now it's your turn, yakumo9275 :-) (note: the amount is in fact 3151 USD, not 2151). But beware, you're not alone ;-)

3000 dollars to port AROS to Efika ?

I am still not sure why anyone would want it to run on an Efika since it runs perfectly on x86 ( or would want an Efika to run Aros )... but hey who am I to judge?

    That's sad considering the following:

"tigger also turned out to be one of the primary Morph Os developers...a fact he kept well hidden in his attack against Hyperion."
    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=37712&forum=2&start=80#707702

    ;-)

    Edit:

    More on that:

    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=37712&forum=2&start=200#708142

    Mystery resolved:

"Number6 asked Tigger how his OS porting to the Efika was going, and also some things about his ongoing contact with Bill Buck. Shortly thereafter I believe a version of MorphOS was released for the Efika. This led me to believe that Tigger was the developer for MorphOS for the Efika board. I apologize if that is not correct. [...] So if what I stated about tigger being a Morph OS developer was not correct, please accept my apologies."

I really would not pay for a license for an efika unless you intend to never get a powerbook or better computer to run mos on. I got tired of efika and went to powermac. Just kept using the demo of mos until I found the right machine.
