Today, we saw the latest version of MorphOS 2.0 in action. We were very pleased. MUI 4 is very impressive and Ambient looks good. Of course, Guido's VailantVision can serve as video and audio source for Reggae...

    EFIKA Dortmund

But, the best part of the day was the long and friendly discussion with Guido and Axel. One thing we all agreed on is that there needs to be an opportunity for developers and users to come together as we did for the Pegasos II launch some years ago in Aachen. This time Dortmund seems like a good location for a number of reasons and September seems like a good time. We will start working on this. Please share your ideas with us or Guido and Axel. Thanks!

    Best regards,
    R&B :-)

Update: Batteman is right (see below). This was the Pegasos I with April 1 launch. Pegasos I with April 2 came later and Pegasos II with the G4 came at the very end of 2003/beginning of 2004. We should have written the second Pegasos instead of the Pegasos "II" - that was an error from us as originally posted. We stand corrected.

I agree a developer conference is a great platform to exchange ideas when we are on the cusp of some great new stuff. If possible, I think making a set of minutes to share with other developers might be helpful too.

Dang, and I can't get to Europe till the second half of October!

This does sort of smell like a release date, or at least some non-core Godz personnel might be made hip to a timetable for a release ;-)

Can't wait to see the pics of the conference though!

You got a very bad memory... It was just before the commercial launch of the Pegasos I April (I).

    I was there ;-)

It sounds good, but unfortunately I won't be able to make it.

    A request:

IMHO we also need some stimulation for the MDC: it's rather thin and difficult to find the information you need.

I never learned how to develop for AmigaOS asides from a few basic tests and MDC seems to be aimed at those developers who already know AmigaOS' API.

    Thanks!

I would prefer if the information was centralised and available to everyone though.

Nice idea... and there's still some time ahead to get it organized.
Hopefully there'll be internet connection to let also those who won't
    be there physically partecipate.
Of course everything would work very nicely if the event gets
    supported by the MorphOS-team.

    @VelcroSP
As I understand, this is aimed to users and developers of MOS in
general, not just Efika betatesters, so the audience is bigger than
    you're thinking of.

    Kind regards,
    Andrea
