I think it needs an update. Particularly for GFX card support. And why put a picture of Frodon using a PC/MAC on the SDK page ? There must be several pictures with Pegasos + developers.

It's been here for a while, but was lost during the various upgrades. I just linked back to it as it should be. Yes, I also feel that the document needs updating, and better navigation. however I was not the originator of the document, so permission has to come from the original author.

Feel free, I meant to update it but never got around to it.

    So, who wants it?
I can send it in Powerpoint (or Keynote) format if you want the original.

    Thanks to both of you.

If you _can_ (this is only a request, not required), see if the images and layout can be juggled into html in some way or another so it isn't a collection of such large images scaring away the low-bandwidth users.

PDF actually works properly now so that's probably the best way.

Last time there was a bug which cause the PDF to come out at 30MB then Powerpoint generated completely brain dead HTML so I ended up just doing a big export of Gifs and manually making HTML pages...

If people ever wonder why I don't like MS software it's because I've had the misfortune of actually using it!

I can feel the pain, I have quite a few not-so-fond memories of having to tell some boss or another that the html generated from MSWord does not a website make... (from a very long time ago)

The by hand stuff you did was easy to work with, but difficult on users with dial-up. If you want a blast from the past, try that document using FinalWriter's html output. It's very simplistic html encoding is probably the cleanest conversion from a document I've ever seen.

I've got the presentation and will be doing it over again on a Mac so it will come out fine. I'll save it as an html page and a pdf if you like. Just let me know what would be best.

I plan to add all the new supported hardware as well as the 1.4.4 and 1.4.5 update information, fix links ect. Should look great when I am done.

    @Acill

IMHO, I think it would be best to have it in both formats. Depending on the final size of the PDF version, if it needs to be archived -- please make both an lha and a zip. This way, if it's needed, it will be easier to get at by users of other OS's.

Oh yeah, how well do you handle ".tar.gz" files there? I spent a few hours converting the original files to a PHP module (so the sidebars could still be used for site-navigation).

Well, if Hollywood had a pdf export some things would be easier. It's great to use Hollywood, but it is rather not too compatible with other systems... ;-)

Anyway Acill if you have too much spare time do a hollywood version too. We shouldn't hide what we have!

It was done on a Mac originally, Pegs were something of a scarcity at the best of time in the office so I never had one.

If you use Keynote be careful about the HTML generation, if it's anything like Pages it'll generate XHTML, evidently Apple expects users to have a browser which supports web standards from this century...

Bizarre, The one application which could actually make money in the Amiga market and nobody has done it. A modern Amiga capable browser would actually sell in reasonable(ish) numbers.

The online version of "Introduction to MorphOS" is updated with the new information provided by Acill. Also, the document is available as a PDF in the downloads section in both lha and zip formats. Whew!

Actually I quite like that picture, looks exactly like the sort of picture you'd expect to see in this sort of presentation. 99% of the people who look at it are not going to know what they are doing so the fact they are not developers (actually Frodon was at the time) is irrelevant.

BTW the other guy's name is Eric, he was the sales guy.

This picture is misleading as MorphOS is not running on a laptop (yet).
I would prefer one picture with a Pegasos training class where you can see several developers using Pegasos.
