Finally got a picture of the butterfly that makes brief appearances in my yard. The Red-spotted Purple at long last held still long enough for a photo.

These guys have been doing "fly overs" for weeks now...

yes, just this afternoon I saw a Cardinal jumping and flying around the back yard. trying to get that on camera is nearly impossible!
