  • Floor Jack 3T come in three different types, each with a specific function.

The first jack is used at home particularly to those who have sagging foundations or walls that are a couple of inches away from crumbling down. The floor jack used in this particular aspect supports the floors of the entire structure so that replacement joists can be added to the original framework. As soon as the original framework of the house or building has been replaced, the entire structure is carefully lowered and secured to the new foundation.

Of course, jacks at home can also be used even when the foundation is in good shape. This one is a solid metal pole with a flat end that is placed under the main beam of the house and held tightly in its place. This is more of a prevention measure as the solid metal supports the main joist of the house thereby preventing eventual sagging.

The second type of jack is utilized for telephone and cable adapters. This type of jack houses the phone plug-in or date plug-in port where phone lines to the computers can be connected. This type of floor jack is commonly sunk into the floor or mounted on the baseboard where the floor and walls meet. Jacks of this type are commonly pre-wired which means that it has to be connected to an existing (and active) telephone data or wiring inside the home before it is mounted into place. Once it is installed, it would be permanent and would be very hard to come off.

The last type of jack is one that is used in automotive shops: automotive floor jacks. These automotive floor jacks utilize hydraulics to raise and lower heavy vehicles like personal cars and trucks. When used, it is commonly laid flat on the ground to create even weight distribution. There are also different types of automotive jacks rated on the different weights of vehicles. Automotive jacks have ratings ranging from two to twenty tons and its hydraulic lift system can be utilized to haul up heavy vehicles by pumping the long arm extending from the jack's body. This equipment, automotive jacks, allows auto-mechanics to check brake systems, inspect undercarriage damage or check exhaust pipes.

However, automotive jacks are not used as a substitute for hydraulic lifts in most car repair shops. They are simply used for quick changing of tires and undercarriage checks. But this fact cannot discount the usefulness and flexibility of automotive floor jacks.
