    @timofonic

    I know. I want it that way. there's enough to load for the picture, no point in allowing people to post pictures, url's, and funky text too. All of that can go to the regular forums.

    As the subject reads, hey Targhan, is the last post date lost for good? I thought it was a great way to tell between read and unread, when doing a quick peek at the site several tiimes a day. Seeing that you managed to get the last post date immediately, I'm surprised that it no longer shows up in "/modules/news".

    See ya!

    The last Post date was great to check for new posts in a thread. I hope it will come back.

    Thanks JMarcos ;-) the thread needed a bump.

    I'm going to be installing some updates this week, with new features for both MorphZone and PPCZone.

    However, I'm now going to have to ask for everyone's help. I need to find some kind of mailing-list plugin for the forums. We have users who only use forums, and we have users who prefer to only use mailing lists. To reach the most people these have to be merged. The MDC/PLC codebase makes certain assumptions about the data structure that does not exist (or exists in a different way) here, so I will have to look in another direction. Throw me some ideas! I've already chased down several paths, and now it's time to ask for help. Let's here your ideas. (note: I'll probably limit a m/l<->forum interaction on MZ to one forum only, as I see no reason to break what works!)

    Thanks everyone!

    @Targhan

    Please, could you increase the size of the visible part of the topic names on the opening page? IMHO it'd be much better if the whole topic would visible and breaked automatically into more lines, than a short quote...

    Keep up the good work Dave! :-D

    The open source team behind RunCMS seems to be inspired by your work here and on PPCZone. That is a good thing. The changes that you have developed should be offered for introduction into their main development tree. They are supporting us with their new engines and we are happy to beta-test for them. We should return the gesture in spades!

    If things continue to work out we might even have PHP 5 working on the sites early next year!

    Keep it up Dave...zone on!

    R&B :-)

    Thanks R&B.

    The RunCMS team has been incredibly helpful every step of the way.
    I've already donated back some of the modules that I've converted back
    to the general audience (such as the Weather module). I cannot stress
    enough how helpful the runcms core team has been.

    That's why on the PPCZone site that I've made available several
    modules to the public. There are still bugs aplenty in some of the
    customized modules here (and they are being worked on), and I hope to
    make them available to the public too.

    I can see today that Targhan has restored our beloved "last post date" in the news page, so i can finally track down new items in MorphZone much easier. He was concerned about the amount of space needed for this data, but I think it's really worth it. Also, meaning that each entry will use two lines, perhaps the subject can be left complete.

    Again, thankyou Dave!

    No problem ;-) I just edited the module to have the poster/time appear as small as possible to reduce the amount of space it takes up. I hope it's a good middle ground for it ;-)

    BTW, most of the modules and hacks released are on the PPCZone.org download site, with a few (like the weather module) moved over to modscentral.com. If I can ever get the time to finish the photo-album's admin area, I'll make that one available too.
