why is there no curl.library?

I searched the whole net (almost;) but only found libcurl to link with C programs.

I would like to use it from an E source, because my gTranslator.sbar doesn't work anymore because google redirects my urls to https, and reggae's http.stream seems to not support it;(

And I found out that the command line tool curl is able to get the url.

It could be done but at least I dont have time for that until I have completed my another project.

I'd make more sense to add https support to Reggae...

Yes, https support for http.stream would be better of course, but I think a curl.library could be build faster;)

libcurl would be great.
It would be a great addition to the system as a whole. I would assume quite a bit of application today have some kind of HTTP connectivity going on.
