Our SDL port (1.2.15)=PowerSDL16.0 is too old. This is a fact.
Since it's the most recent SDL
1 version, it can hardly be "too old"
SDL2, however, is a
different project (as in "you probably need moderate modifications for code to switch between the two"), and I'd say it's "too new". Not too new to port to MorphOS, but too new for us to "really need it yet", as there's rather minimal amount of software using it around. Who knows, it might also end up in Allegro-like state, that only a handful of "worthy" programs use it.
For now, it's MUCH more important to have SDL1 than SDL2, although of course having both wouldn't hurt...
And considering SDL2 was released in the middle of august this year (a bit over 3 months ago), it's perfectly understandable there isn't much software for it yet, and that many especially smaller operating systems don't support it yet
Of course it also often makes sense to "wait a while" after project release for bugs to get found and fixed etc. before even attempting port to other operating systems...
-EDIT-
Since you insist on SDL2 so much, here's a challenge. Find 5 "worthy" games / programs that require it.
