I'm in early stage of a new open source package manager for AmigaOS classic, AmigaOS4, AROS and MorphOS developers and users.
A kind of mix between Haiku portage, Gentoo Linux Portage, Archlinux Pacman.

Had a quick look at the recipe files. One comment: think about making it possible to localize all description strings.

I was thinking about an English only tool.

But as you mention surely people would appreciate a tool "speaking" their language.
