I'm thinking about writing (porting from linux) some printer drivers for MorphOS (after finishing SCANdal/scanner drivers) and I have one question. Does MorphOS Team have any SDK for Turboprint ? (SDK for writing drivers not this small file for calling TP printer.device). I don't know which licence for TP, Morphos team/Genesi has but maybe someone from MorphOS Team could talk with IsreeSoft about the possibility obtaining SDK.

Actually, the MorphOS Team has no SDK how to write own printer drivers. Imho, it's pretty much impossible to receive any info about that, either. Genesi bought the license to use a specified version of TurboPrint to be included into MorphOS. There was no agreement about continued updates nor extended SDK info. The only thing we were able to do is integrate a customized version of the preferences program into our preferences system but that's about it.

Would love to see a few updated printerdrivers.
Would make buying a newer printer a bit easier.

to add to what pega1 said I remember looking into this around the ODW days... it seems IRsee Soft have moved on to linux drivers and other enterprise work. however, they do remain friendly to their amiga roots from what I recall. Perhaps you could contact them in regards how to proceed to obtain sources or help>

    Zukow,

Could you list the names of some scanners that are known to work with SCANdal. I am fed up trying to get Poseidon to accept mine (Epson Perfection 636USB). It keeps getting an enumeration error.
Just want to buy one known to work and be done with it.

Updated printer system for MorphOS would be nice ... but then again: there are so much things that would be nice for MorphOS :-)
