First of all a word of thanks to the Morphos developers for the outstanding work done and for the future ahead.

I just managed to find the time to finally upgrade my Mac Mini G4 1.5Mhz to MOS 3.5.1. I've been traveling for business like crazy, so my time has become very limited.

My system is working like a gem. I've managed to configure and play with ScummVM (I talked about this in another thread) and now MAME. It's a breeze and quite enjoyable.

To enhance my gaming experience I recently bought, in one of my trips to China, a couple of generic (no brand) USB gamepads, same old style of the first gen Play Station wired remote. But unfortunately I can't make them to work.

I'm sure that I missing something and this is why I ask for your kind help in helping me to test and configure these gamepads.

Here is a link to a picture of the gamepad; in case someone else may have one similar.

Thanks in advance for nay help.

Start 'System/Preferences' from the Ambient menu and then select USB->Devices to see if the gamepad is showing up in the usb device list. If the gamepad is in the list then you can select it's entry and click on 'Settings'. Under the 'Action' tab there should be various entries that you can configure and map out to be gamepad and dpad button pushes that will then get passed on to lowlevel.library which is how most software accesses the gamepad. Try the 'report incoming events' to see in realtime which buttons or pad movements are being recognized and attached to an entry in the 'reports and.collections' list.

Just gotta say, that is the cheapest looking controller I have ever seen in my life, did it come inside a box of cereals by any chance? :)
