I've not done a lot of reading on this, but have started thinking about it lately. After reading this thread, am I reading correct that you say an AGP Voodoo 3 won't work in a G5? I was at the flea market today flipping through a bunch of old cards and saw an AGP Voodoo. I was thinking about buying it just for sh%ts and giggles.
The better solution would be to use a Voodoo 3 in a PCI slot as you suggest. Has no one really tried this? I don't have any Voodoo lying around, so it'd be nice to know before buying one. Voodoo 3 PCI on eBay aren't cheap anymore.
Here's a dumb question. Would it be at all possible, at least in theory, to modify WAZP3D or some other program, to use a Radeon in the PCI slot to do Warp3D computations, but then output to the main AGP connected display? Monitor switches are a pain, and as mentioned Voodoo 3 is very limited in resolutions and VRAM.
