Kronos' advice is spot on, but don't despair if you've fried a CPU, they can be replaced and its likely your motherboard is fine as long as there has been no coolant leak.
Anyone else see why I went for a 2.3 GHz machine?
Can the 2.5 and 2.7 GHz systems be modified for air cooling?
