I purchased a refurbished wifi adapter from Newegg.com.
Oddy enough, they covered over the serial numbere with a permanent marker.
And this unit does not appear to work with the iBook.

BTW - Does anyone want to buy this this from me?
It doesn't work on my i///////book (and apparently doesn't work well on Powerbooks), but AmigaDave did say he got his working on desktops.

Stange that is is not working with your iBook, what are the symptoms, does it do anything? Since it is just a dumb wireless device, once you set it up for your WLAN, it should work just like any other wired Ethernet device on any of your MorphOS compatible systems.

Have you tried to use it on any of your other Windows, Mac, or Linux systems first?

Edit: I have used mine on several of my MorphOS systems, including successfully on my G4 PowerBooks, as well as my AmigaOS4.x X1000 system, and a couple of MacOSX systems. It has been a long time since I set it up though, so I don't remember exactly how the setup process went.

    Thanks guys,
Maybe I don't have this set up correctly.
I would be nice to get it to work.
Newegg is selling refurbished units at really low prices.
    I'll give it another shot.
    I've been kind of distracted.

Tried it a second time and then did a warm re-boot.
    That took care of it.
I now have a wireless enabled 1.42 GHz iBook.
Now I can put away the Windows notebook.
    Thanks for the encouragement.

Glad the second attempt worked for you and you can now enjoy your portable MorphOS system anywhere in range of your WLAN. :-D

I have had to reboot a couple of other times as well, but everything works reasonably well.
I ought to buy one of these for the Blu-Ray player I have that does not have wifi.

I think that is the primary use that the Netgear WNCE2001 was designed for in the first place. After buying the WNCE2001 refurbished from New Egg, I later purchased a different brand of device that has more modes and also has it's own rechargeable battery, so it does not draw any power from my PowerBook's battery through the weakly powered USB ports. I can't remember off the top of my head what brand it is, or the model name, but a year ago or so, some other user here recommended it and it has worked very well in combination with my G4 PowerBook, so the Netgear WNCE2001 has been moved to my X1000 instead.
