Somebody gives to me a broken PowerMac G5 2.7Ghz

Pushing power button does anything. No fans, no lights, there's no life signal.
There's no marks of water in the case or motherboard.
I think Water cooling system should be ok.

So, I think about a PowerSupply defect.

I have another Power G5, but only 2.0Ghz. This Mac is brocken for other reasons.

and I'm thinking trying to plug the PowerSupply of PM 2.0 on PM 2,7.

Do you think they are compatible?

It should work fine. I had to do this on mine after the cooling system killed itself and I thought it was the power supply at first.

I believe the PSU on a 2.0ghz is much smaller in wattage than what the 2.7ghz has. Will it work if you swap it? No idea, give it a try.

This is a power supply for the PowerMac G5. There is a 450W(661-2903) and 600W (661-3234) for the 2004 and early 2005 model and a 710W (661-3737) for the late 2005 model.
