Afaik the full 25 GB set is not necessary since you will going to download disk from early mac to mac pro/macbook pro covering apple machines from 2003 to mid 2010. Of course you can download all of them if you desire.
For example since I have a Powermac G5 dual 2.7 I only need the disk with that machine diagnostic. The problem is... there are three different disks: 2.5.7, 2.5.8 and 2.6.3 with early 2005 models (like dual 2.7) diagnostic. Reading here and there I found my disk is the first one (2.5.7) but I've decided to download all of them just in case....
I have downloaded the 2.5.7 and the 2.5.8 yesterday and tomorrow I will try with the third one.
By the way the full 25 gb set has full documentation inside (from "how to" to "test result guide").
