    Hello,

I motified both of my Radeon 9200SE cards and flashed them. Did the trace cuts and the jumper pad that was necessary to complete the modification. Both cards worked great in my Quicksilver I had. Now the problem is that when I try any of them on any of my Mac MDDs, corrupted 3d graphics always comes up. Black and white polygons and it scrambles everywhere. Any ideas what might be causing this? My 8500 and 9000 PRO cards work great, and the 8500 is a modified one.

Thanks! Any help is greatly appreciated.

And you have tried them in OSX with MDD? If they work, it could be a problem in MorphOS. If they don't, It could be a problem in yor MDD or with the flash itself. I remember MDD being pickier with gfx cards than Quicksilver so It could be the rom you are using. Does the gpu and ram clocks in the rom match the card? Are you using reduced 64k rom? When your using reduced rom, the NDRV is removed from the rom to fit 64k, sometimes you have to use Ati ROM extender on OSX to get back some of the removed functions. This isn't available for MOS(?).

Good idea. I just would have to fight installing OSX to see if the 3d works correctly. The quicksilver was working great at the time.

    Ello!

So I am back to figuring out why my Radeon cards were having corrupted 3D. I downloaded MorphOS 2.7 since that was the last version I used on my Quicksilver. On this MDD, I booted into 2.7, and WHALA, 3D works great! So Something in MOS 3.1 broke the Radeon 9200 cards from working right.

Just letting others be aware that this is an issue with MOS. 8-)

    Hi Doffo, all

My Radeon 9200 pro works OK with MorphOS 3.1 ! As the information is given
by the programm "GraphicBoards" in the "Utilities" drawer.
You are sure to use fodquake 0.3, because version 0.2 scrambles, indeed.

It seems to be a problem with reflashed PC-BIOS Radeons only which were adapted to work on PowerMacs.
It might be due to the fact that MorphOS3 uses some enhanced AGP features that were not used in earlier releases of MorphOS.
There has been some other thread before where this has been discussed, actually.
We are trying to fix this for a future update.

MorphOS 3.1 contain complete new 3D drivers, which may contain bugs or trigger bugs in applications, as we were not able to test with any software out there.

Instead of installing MorphOS 2.7 it is enough to just replace the tinygl.library by the older version.

Thanks for the replys. I will give replacing the library a try and see if that fixes things. No worries, I am sure the team will fix it later on. 8-)
