Please doubleclick on that device and give me the Product ID field value. What device did you connect exactly? That's not a 360 Wireless adapter for sure.

Looks like there are two revisions of the device floating around. Please redownload the driver (same url), install it and reboot to make sure it was flushed. It will hopefully work now.

the new driver works for me too as it has the same pid as Dani's. Only peculiar thing, a few seconds after the gamepad led is stabilized at position 1, it starts blinking again. But it still gives the same indications under logtool, so it seems to be working ok.

I tried this last night with my USB Mad Catz XBOX 360 Controller clone, but to no avail. I could not get the class to bind.

I see that there is an updated download and more technical info on the page today so I'll go home and have another shot tonight.

If it does not bind with the most recent version of the driver, please let me know the vendor and product ids of the device.

I forgot to download LogTool last time, but in the mean time I was still unable to force bind with your latest upload.

Redownload and try again. Hard to say whether it's going to work or not though - it seems quite different from the others.

I wonder, will it be possible to use all buttons ? I know I still have problems assigning all buttons on a PS1 controller ? Or is it just me who can't properly set up Poseidon ? And if so, what is the difference with this driver if all buttons are assigned or are there lesser buttons on an XBOX360 pad ?

Yes, it will eventually be possible to use all buttons, but only in games that'll be updated to use the new API. lowlevel.library can't have as many inputs as these pads have.

Definitely, the only problem is that the API is still in the works. But since stefkos has access to current MorphOS betas, I'm pretty sure he'll be able to add the support for this as soon as the API & driver are mature enough.

I assume that will be "a generic API for all joysticks (and joystick-like) devices", rather than "Only for Xbox360 controllers", as that wouldn't really make much sense :-)

Updated http://dreamolers.binaryriot.org/priv/xbox.lha again. The only change is that the led 1 on the wired usb controller should be lit now. Please let me know if this works if you've got one.

Doesn't work with my controller, all leds are just blinking. Here's the info from poseidon:
    Product Name: Joytech 360 pad
    Product ID: 48879 (0xBEEF)
    Manufacturer: Joytech T2
    Vendor: 5678 (=0x162E)
    unknown
    Serial #: A568741

No response at logtool, tried to force the binding as well, but still no response.

Sure you rebooted/flushed the old class from mem? It should at least bind to the device now.

I rebooted the system, of course. I really get no bind. Would you like me to make a snapshot? Maybe there's something going on that I don't describe correctly.

A screenshot of the information window that appears when you doubleclick the pad in the Devices view in USB prefs would be handy indeed.
