I have got a few newbie questions regarding MorphOS and Powerbooks.

Filesystems: What buffersize should I use to get the most out of the filesystems SFS and PFS and IceFS?

Trackpad: is it possible to turn the trackpad off? I’m using a mouse most of the time, and sometimes touch the trackpad by mistake when writing (making the cursor to jump out of position).

SSD: I want the most out of our Powerbooks and would like to buy some pata SSDs. Would this work with Powerbooks and MorpOS?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/270466574743


I’m very happy with MorphOS so far – the powerbooks are able to run Hollywood Designer with great speed! I have made them as dualboot systems, but I have found myself only to start MacOS to see if it actually works. MorphOS is much nicer, and a lot quicker!.

It has the correct technical specs to be compatible with the PowerBook. SSDs work transparently for the OS, so any OS with driver for the PowerBook's PATA controller can use the SSD .

May I ask what filesystems you are using, and what buffersize you prefer? I aim for maximum speed :)
